Phonicview Service
Phonicview service behaves exactly like the regular analog phone line which you have at home. Making a call,
you dial a number just like you are dialing on your regular phone. When call comes in, your phone rings and you pick it up to answer exactly like a regular analog phone. Below are the explanation of how the differenct hardware works with Phonicview service.

This service involves PhonicView Network, DSL or Cable Modem, PhonicView 1Port Gateway, and the regular home phone. With the regular phone connected to the PhonicView 1Port Gateway, the same phone can be used for both the internet phone call and regular phone call by pressing the flash button.
As shown in the diagram, a computer can be connected to the PhonicView 1Port Gateway and use the DSL for surfing the net, etc., but the computer does not need to be turned on when using internet phone.

This service involves PhonicView Network, DSL or Cable Modem, and PhonicView IP Phone. The connection of PhoincView IP Phone is easy. Just plug it in to the DSL modem, and you are ready to go. As shown in the diagram, a computer can be connected to the PhonicView IP Phone and use the DSL as well, but the computer does not need to be turned on when using internet phone.

This service involves PhonicView Network,DSL or Cable Modem, Personal computer,and the PhonicView Soft Phone. PhonicView Soft Phone comes with a piece of software which needs to be installed on the computer. The software acts as the medium between the DSL/Cable Modem and the Soft Phone for communication. Therefore, the computer must be turned on all the time in order for the Soft Phone to work. The software will be updated automatically whenever there is an updates available. Advantage of the Soft phone is that it is behind the router, i.e. the Soft phone will work as long as the computer is working.
